Starting this season, we are having multiple tiers of the registration process to reward members for early and on time registrations. We have added an extra level of savings for those who register within the first 7 days of open registration.

We are trying to get away from the last minute registrations that make it difficult to plan for the season, build the schedule, order t-shirts so that you have for opening day, etc.We really want to encourage our members to register early so we are giving you an extra chance to save even more if you are on top of it.

Early Bird Registration will be two fold. First the chance to save $10 for one week and $5 for two in the first three weeks of registration. That is followed by the Regular Registration period and finally Late Registration that will be open for 1 week after the start of the season.

Here it is all broken down:

  • Early Bird Registration
    The first 7 days of registration - $40 + $1.50 processing fee
    The next 14 days of registration - $45 + $1.50 processing fee

  • Regular Registration
The end of Early Bird Registration until the start of the season - $50 + $1.50 processing fee

  • Late Registration
Opens for 1 week after the start of the season. Additional fees apply - $60 + $3.00 processing fee

The moral of the story, sign up early and save money.

How We Play Softball:

DSL Softball is a coed wooden bat league. Well wooden bats for guys, ladies may use any style bat that is ASA approved. The reason for this of course is that we want DSL to be a safe league for people of all skill levels. It makes for an interesting twist to the game without taking away any of the fun. DSL is about being open to everyone and this is our way of doing softball.

Format:

9 players in the field. Every player on the roster bats regardless of wether or not they play in the field that inning. Each team must have at least 3 ladies in the field at all times. When the ladies are up to bat outdfielders can be no closer than 20ft from the infield. If a man is walked to get to a girl batter, he automatically takes second to discourage unsportsmanlike strategies. Every batter starts with a 2balls - 1 strike count. Gentleman get 1 foul then its an out, ladies get 2 fouls. All rules are designed for a social atmosphere. Outside of the rules just mentioned we follow standard ASA Rules.
